A great trip into the Sid's Mtn. Wilderness Study Area (WSA). Mike, Becky and I backpacked down into North Salt Wash from the west side of Sid's Mtn and then walked up Saddlehorse canyon. We camped about three miles up Saddlehorse in a side drainage and then climbed out of the canyon and cross country traveled to the Sid's Mtn trail and then to Sid's cabin. We hiked past it enough to see "Sid's Mtn". It is in one of the pics ands is not much of peak. It is labeled Swazy's on the 7.5 min. quadrangle. The canyons were very pleasant. Sid's Mtn top was cow-hammered and over-grazed.
